Two Factor Authentication

Swivel SAS M2F™ uniquely combines the dual communications channels of the Internet and the mobile cellular networks to offer strong, twofactor, authentication in both B2B and mass-market applications. Two-factor authentication involves the use of something you know and something you have in order to confirm that ‘you are who you say you are', in an online environment.

SAS M2F™ uses a variable length PIN as the ‘something' the user knows and a cellular mobile phone as the ‘something' the user has. Whilst this basic concept by itself is not new, Swivel has taken the principles of this strong authentication process to a higher level than any currently available system and added features designed to protect users from Identity theft with maximum convenience and at minimum cost.

Security managers should consider Swivel Secure for two reasons:

	Swivel's suite approach supports multiple authentication mechanisms within a single infrastructure, making it easy to change mechanisms either on a per-user basis or across the board. It is reassuring to have the flexibility to quickly change the authentication mechanism without unduly affecting applications or users
